Building on 10 Years of Success...
As a direct results of the prayer and financial support from ordinary people in the UK, the Albanian Mission team have in the last decade been able to provide real on-the-ground support to people in desperate need.

Empowered by the financial sponsorship of people in the UK, Richard, Linda, and Joanne can continue to reach out to the Albanian people.

The team has sought to bring practical help and hope where it really matters. Early steps included giving eagerly received English lessons for children and young people, followed by the opening of a health clinic and district nursing service.

Richard, LInda and Joanne have proven their long term commitment to the people of southern Albanian and continue to make a real difference to people’s lives.  When possible the services of local people are utilised, who would otherwise struggle to make ends meet.  Such projects have included: Repairing village roads and constructing a bridge, installing and repairing sewers, and fitting toilets into homes for the very first time, all of which demonstrate immediate improvements in the lives of local people.

Each and every week the team provide allowances for widows to buy bread and essential groceries to feed their children.

Each and every week the team supports the local children’s home with a delivery of meat so that the children can enjoy a cooked meal.

Every week opportunities arise to impact the lives of people living beneath the poverty line.  This typically includes recreational activities for gypsy children, whose normal lives lack many of the basic pleasures most of us would take for granted.

Financial and practical support involving young people with limited abilities is also a new and emerging work.

Underpinning all of this work is a desire to reach out and discover God’s love and compassion.  With your backing the team can continue to impact this forgotten nation.  With your support the team can continue on the ground with the practical Christian message of hope and reconciliation to those who have been treated so harshly under the sternest of Communist dictatorships.

The future of the Albania Mission depends on the prayers and generous support of people who invest into the future of this fragile nation through monthly standing order donations.  £5, £10, £15, £50 per month or whatever you can afford really will make a difference!

It is said that the best way to tackle poverty is for more rich people to get more poor friends - however,  don’t be fooled into thinking you are only wanted for your money!  Many locals and visitors have had their lives positively impacted forever. Richard, Linda, and Joanne look forward to hosting even more visitors from the UK, adding to the 400 who have already connected with the Albanian people.
